The Company History Business operations originally commenced in 1939 and even though, over the years, we have undergone changes in ownership as well as staff, one strategy has reminded constant throughout all major decisions: • Flexibility and the ability to adapt rapidly to changing circumstances. A major decision that has proved to be of vital importance for Eng-Tex was our decision to branch out into technical textiles already in 1974. Our strategy of rapid adaptation to changing circumstances has led to Eng-Tex being a company that, today, can offer: • Products that can fulfil the exacting quality demands even from very demanding customers. • A high degree of flexibility and level of service. • A highly competent, efficient and flexible product development service. In recognition of our status, Eng-Tex took the decision at an early stage to apply for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditations, which were awarded in 1993 and 1999 respectively. Adapting to changing circumstances has meant that Eng-Tex has been very keen to apply and utilize new, modern technology in our production processes as well as in our communication. As a direct consequence of our efficient communication system, customers from relatively far away can feel a close proximity to Eng-Tex as a supplier.
